Happy New Year WISE Members!

Registration for ASSP’s Safety 2019 has launched, which includes the WISE Retreat and WISE Networking Social. The theme of the 2019 WISE Retreat is “Speak Your Truth,” and we’ll dive into personal branding, self compassion, and more. The WISE Networking Social will be at Fulton Alley, luxurious gaming parlor and prohibition-style cocktail lounge located in the heart of New Orleans’ warehouse district.

Register for the WISE Open Call on January 30, 2019 to learn more about ChapterWISE, WISE Mentoring, and WISE events at Safety 2019.

As the ASSP launches their Communities platform, you’ll see there are conversations already started in the WISE group. Join the conversations at community.assp.org. ChapterWISE reps were sent invitations for a “hidden” collaboration space within the platform, look for more events, activities, and engagement starting with ChapterWISE this year!

As we look ahead to 2019, let’s look way ahead to the future of our profession. The WISE Professional Education Grant (PEG) account is currently just over $17,600. The minimum for endowment awards of $1,000 is a principal of $30,000. Keep the WISE PEG in mind when you consider charitable giving in 2019 and beyond. You can follow the progress of the WISE PEG at this link. To donate, text WISE to 41444 and follow the instructions. Please consider sharing link and text4safety option at your chapter events!
